Remember, honor, and mourn those military personnal who have passed and served in the United States Armed Forces! This is also a time to pay respects to those lost loved ones who have passed by decorating and giving flowers.
May was the busiest time of the legislative sessionhere in Colorado. We were currently working very hard to defend the rights of medical patients and medical cannabis recommending doctors, which unfortunately PASSED thanks to HB21-1317, which can be read here. You've saw our very important action alerts regarding this bill sent to your email. Thanks to all of you who participated in voicing change for this Bill.
We appreciated your opinion and voice by sending action alerts, testifying remotely, or in person at the Capitol as we continue to advocate for the rights of cannabis users across the state of Colorado.

As a reminder, we hold our monthly chapter meetings every second Tuesday of each month over Zoom from 6-7:30 pm MST. April’s theme was 4/20! We were joined by Dan Herer to celebrate the history of cannabis, its many properties, and what the future may hold for the cannabis industry.
If you missed April’s meeting, you can watch it below.
We celebrated our first in-person event on 420! The OH Zone and Colorado NORML partnered with several other groups for the4/20 Edu-tainment Earth Expo. This event revolved around Earth Month and how we can use this plant for more than healing medicinally - this plant can heal the world.
Our first session was yoga and brunch, where LaynieGanja discussed how important it is to feel the energy of the cannabis plant as a sacrament, and that plant-based medicine should never be taken for granted. There was also a fresh juice bar provided by Mo'BettaGreen Marketplace founder Beverly Grant, who also spoke on food insecurity.
The second session involved a series of speakers who educated attendees about the cannabis plant itself, its origin, as well as how to beenvironmentally-conscious by utilizing hemp or other biodegradable material. One of the speakers, Bridgitte Mars, spoke abouthow various cultures over time have incorporated the plant into both religion and daily life. There were also some fantastic tacos provided by Los Guerreros Taco Truck. Thatsession ended with an excellent performance by hip-hop artistBethyLoveLight!
Our final session of the evening included a traditional Jamaican dinner prepared by Chef Taj Cooke. Quiet Warlock brought the house down!
A big thank you to Eddie Dread for DJing during the afternoon!
