SB17 Passes Unanimously 1st Senate Hearing 5-0

February 01, 2017

Colorado was the first State to Legalize Cannabis and is now taking another step forward to become the 20th State to allow Cannabis treatment for PTSD!

A Colorado Bill called SB17 will add PTSD and Acute Stress Disorder to the list of qualifying conditions for treatment with Cannabis. This Bill is sponsored by Senator Irene Aguilar and House Representative Jonathan Singer.
The Senate State, Veterans, and Military Affairs Committee unanimously backed Legislative proposal vote in favor of SB17 5-0 at the hearing held Monday. The Bill now moves through the Senate and once legislation passes the Senate, it will be heard by the House for debate.
We would like to thank all of you members out there who support Co NORML and other organizations such as Cannabis Patients Alliance, CannAbility, Veterans for Natural Rights, Art of War, and Cannabis Patients Rights Coalition. These wonderful Organizations and great Advocates that speak on behalf of these Bills helping push the right laws through on a State level.
