For Press Inquires:
Colorado NORML endorses 2018 Adams County Treasurer Lisa Culpepper
Denver, Colorado: The Colorado NORML organization officially endorses Lisa Culpepper as Adams County Treasurer - 2018.
Lisa Culpepper is an attorney, real estate broker, and professor who wants to elevate transparency, performance, and service in the Adams County Treasurer’s office.
“I am honored to receive endorsement by Colorado NORML because I have always believed that the prohibition of marijuana is impractical, unjustified, and harmful to our society and its governance. I voted for Amendment 20 in 2000, and I reviewed draft legislation to legalize the sale of marijuana in Colorado in 2012.I proudly support the rights of the public, and especially of patients, to access marijuana products and to benefit from their medical and social values. Furthermore, I strongly believe that those who have been convicted of any marijuana-related violation should be immediately absolved of any related legal burdens and that such violations should be permanently expunged from the public record.” - Lisa Culpepper, Esq. - candidate, Adams County Treasurer 2018
"Our Organization and its Board are proud to support and endorse Lisa Culpepper's campaign for Adams County Treasurer," said CoNORML Executive director Ashley Weber. Lisa Culpepper was a public servant in Taxation for 15 years at the Colorado Department of Revenue. As a lawyer of 20 years who represents the "little guys", she'll be an outstanding public servant for Adams County. She also teaches real estate, business, contracts, finance, taxes, and law. With her background in education and finance, Lisa Culpepper is just what Adams County needs as its Treasurer."
With the general election right around the corner, Colorado NORML stands firmly behind Lisa Culpepper and her mission to enact change and keep the fight for the reform of marijuana law alive.
Colorado NORML’s mission is to move public opinion sufficiently to legalize the responsible use of marijuana by adults, and to serve as an advocate for consumers to assure they have access to high quality marijuana that is safe, convenient and affordable.
