Denver, Colorado: The Colorado NORML organization officially endorses Candi Cdebaca for Denver City Council District 9 in the May 7, 2019 election. Colorado NORML’s mission is to move public opinion sufficiently to legalize the responsible use of marijuana by adults, and to serve as an advocate for consumers to assure they have access to high quality marijuana that is safe, convenient and affordable.

Candi is a proud fifth-generation native of northeast Denver. Candi understands the importance of tight-knit communities and stepping up for neighbors in need.Candi understands the lack of equality within the cannabis community and would create an awareness to de-criminalize. Her efforts extend to include responsible growth, people centered transportation, and will allow decision – making back into the hands of residents,” said executive director of Colorado NORML Ashley Weber.

Candi became an expert in policy development, policy analysis, investigation, federal policy compliance, and community organizing when experiencing 6 years in DC. She learned how to use policy to protect the most vulnerable while still encouraging innovation and growth.

In partnership with community-led organizations and residents she has conceptualized and creatively transformed opportunities into action to achieve people-centered goals

"As a resident of the most cannabis saturated district in Colorado and also one of the few remaining communities of color, I am committed to working with the Cannabis industry to build policy that continues to decriminalize and heal our city." – Candi Cdebaca, 2019
