The "Aspen Marijuana Conference" will be held at The Westin Snowmass Resort in Snowmass Village Sept. 15-17. The three-day conference will feature classes from the California-based trade school Oaksterdam University. The event is being thrown in conjunction with the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), a nonprofit whose goal is to reform pot laws, and Let it Shine Productions, a Colorado-based event planning company.

Along with the Oaksterdam courses, the conference will feature public panels, a two-day expo and a job fair, said Dale Sky Jones, executive chancellor of Oaksterdam University.

The Oaksterdam classes will include sessions on horticulture, how to cook with marijuana, how to find a job in the industry, what different state laws are governing marijuana use and how to “stay square with the IRS,” among other things.
